系泊尾缆
Mooring tails are short energy-absorbing lengths spliced to the end of a wire or HMPE mooring line so the arrangement keeps some elasticity at the ship's side. OCIMF MEG4 requires the tail to be stronger than the main line — typically 125 - 130 % of the line design break force — and the connection is made with Tonsberg / Mandal shackles or a cow hitch.
