Ambarlı is Istanbul's main container complex on the European shore. Turnaround is short, so the realistic supply window is the length of the cargo operation. That favours items that are ready to fit: lines already spliced to the correct eye length, tails already made up with the connection type the ship uses, shackles and thimbles supplied in the right grade rather than the nearest one in stock.

For a container ship the practical failure point is usually the fairlead and the pedestal roller. Ordering chafe protection with the line, rather than after the first inspection, saves a second attendance.

Bosphorus transit and anchorage deliveries

Vessels transiting the strait or waiting at anchorage often order rope because an inspection or a port state control observation has just raised it. Those orders are specification-driven: a superintendent needs a like-for-like replacement with a certificate that will stand up to the next inspection, and needs it before the vessel sails.

For anchorage delivery we work with the agent and the launch service, and we supply the certificate pack in the same delivery so the line record can be updated immediately.

What to send with the enquiry

For a fast Istanbul call, the shortest path to a correct quotation is a photo of the existing rope tag or certificate plus the delivery point and the sailing time. If a tag is not available, vessel type, diameter, construction and length are enough to start.
